Tahini Turmeric Sauce/Dressing

Ingredients

2 dates, pitted

1/2 cup hot water + 2 tablespoons

2 tablespoons tahini

1 tablespoon fresh lemon or lime juice

1 tablespoon nutritional yeast

1/2 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)

1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

salt & pepper, to taste

Directions

1. Soak the dates in the hot water for 10 minutes.

2. Place all ingredients in blender, including the water the dates soaked in, and blend until smooth.

Notes

Vegan.

Gluten-free.

Delicious as a salad dressing or over roasted veggies!
